格言嘛，有很多。但我喜欢的，却更多。只要是关于学习的格言，都能引起我的注意。
记得四年级下册一次期中考试，我考得的成绩很不理想。语文八十几，数学七十几。我甚至不敢告诉爸爸妈妈我的成绩。
一天晚上，我和妈妈去逛街，趁这时，反正妈妈迟早要知道，何不早点告诉她。我鼓足了勇气，跟妈妈说了，妈妈并没有指责我，而是跟我说：“成绩考得好不好不重要，重要的是你努力就行了，付出才是关键，这次考不好，期末不要辜负了我的期望，记住“学如逆水行舟，不进则退”要好好学习。”我听了泪眼模糊，不知该怎么说。我下决心要好好学习，要赶上，不能辜负了妈妈地期望。
